The Benromach Distillery has been producing spirits in the Highlands for over 120 years. A distillery famous for its red doors, single malt whiskies and distillation excellence. Therefore, it’s of no surprise, with their wealth of expertise and passion for spirits, that they decided to capture some of the spirit of Scotland’s majestic landscape in a gin.
With a handmade copper pot still affectionately called ‘Peggy’ and using a vapour infusion distillation method, which steams the natural base spirit through the botanicals, Benromach Distillery have recreated a delicate flavoured gin. Red Door Gin is a new, rich and exciting chapter in the story of this Highland distillery.
Red Door Gin is elegantly simple and beautifully balanced. It delivers signature notes of juniper and defining citrus bite of bitter orange, with aromatic sea buckthorn, grassy, floral pearls of heather and chocolatey, smoky rowanberries.

The Red Door Gin distillery can be found behind one of the many real red doors at Benromach Distillery. Built in 1898, the distillery houses both whisky stills and a gin still named ‘Peggy’, which is used to distill all Red Door Gin. A discreet door leads to the botanicals room where the botanicals for each gin run are stored, weighed and carefully inspected before being used. The gin distillery is currently not open to the public but there are plans in place to develop this area of the distillery and create a fantastic tour and gin tasting experience. The shop is well stocked with a variety of whiskies and of course Red Door Gin.
