SOS Gin Scotland’s Other Spirit was born in the Lowlands of Scotland using local botanicals to create an alternative taste in this uniquely flavoured craft gin.
Scottish Lowland juniper is carefully hand-foraged by the SOS team to ensure that the following year’s harvest remains undisturbed. Rosehip is also hand-foraged and de-seeded prior to use with the seeds being returned to nature. Rhubarb is another ingredient and is sourced from friends and family’s gardens.
The SOS Gin team make use of the facilities at Strathearn Distillery and get involved with the distillation and bottling process.
This gin is made using hand-foraged 100% Scottish Lowland juniper, rosehip and rhubarb blended with chamomile and distilled in small batches in a copper pot still. SOS Gin is extremely smooth with juniper at the fore giving way to the unique blend of floral notes with undertones of liquorice and vanilla.
