Distilled in Angus, Mackintosh Gin is the brainchild of Jim and Deborah Mackintosh. Along with their three daughters, the family set out on their gin journey two years prior to launch.
The County of Angus has a rich history of Viking invasions, Romans, Picts and Celts. It is an area abundant with ancient standing stones and natural beauty. Affectionately known as ‘The birthplace of Scotland’, it is also where the Mackintosh clan call home. The inspiration for the branding was taken from ‘Lover’s Knot’, a symbol which is carved into a 9th century Pictish stone in Meigle, not far from the couple’s home.
