In 2015, with mother nature’s botanical larder readily available on the island, three friends Alicia, Claire and Georgina, decided they wanted to share a new adventure together. With their own individual skills and backgrounds, they decided to setup a distillery in Ardlussa on the island of Jura. Encouraged by their shared love of Jura and supported by the local community, the distillery was opened and ‘Jim’ the traditional Portuguese, handcrafted copper still was fired up and Lussa Gin was born.
