After a lot of planning and growing the brand, in February 2019, the founders finalised renovation of an industrial shed in West Hynish in the southwest of the island and after a break of 217 years, Tiree was once again home to a legal operational distillery. The gin takes its name from the original spelling of the island before it was changed in the middle of the 18th century to Tiree.
