Jenny in Brighton is a gin blogger based in the South East if England, who started blogging at the end of 2014 and has since reviewed over 200 gins, tonics and mixers. Jenny is passionate about helping people to discover gin and aims to write her tasting notes in a way that is understandable and accessible to everyone. She often compares her writing style to a conversation with your friend in the pub.
Jenny passed her WSET Level 1 in Spirits whilst living in Brighton, but has recently moved to the countryside where she has converted her basement into her own personal gin bar. Whilst born and bred in Hampshire, Jenny has lived in Sussex for the last 11 years but is part of Clan MacLaren from the Highlands, who were one of the featured Clans in the Edinburgh Tattoo 2017. Jenny is proud of her Scottish heritage, and her gin-drinking relatives that still live there.
“Scotland is a beautiful country and this is shining through in the gins coming from across the nation from people with a real passion for the craft. Scotland might be famous for its whisky, but the gin world is growing and it’s time for everyone to pay attention.”
